Janet Levon Rock Adkins, born and raised at home on March 16, 1946 on Mile Fork of Coopers Creek in Kanawha County, WV.

After getting married she moved to the St. Albans area and later to Putnam County. She was a homemaker for the biggest part of her life. She also worked as the manager of Jan's Groceries, Putnam County Aging and Sunbridge Nursing and Rehab Center. To her, one of her greatest achievements was graduating from high school at the age of 50 with her youngest daughter, Kitten.

She was preceded in death by
her mother, Stella Mae Rock and Father Lovell Rock;
brothers, Lovell Rock Jr., "Butch" Eugene Rock, "Tuck" Albert Rock;
sisters, Geniviee Johnson, Reba Cook, Betty Kohann, Wilma Lou Rock and Phyliss Rock;
her three oldest sons, "Tiny" Randy D. Adkins, Jr., "Tootsie" Donald Ray Adkins, and "Beanie" Evert W. Adkins.

Left to cherish her memory is
her husband of 48 years, Randy D. Adkins;
children; "Star" Stella O and her husband Carey Martinez, "Curley" Albert C. Adkins and wife, Laura and "Kitten" Nettie L. Adkins;
grandchildren; Stephanie Adkins, Randy D. Adkins, III, Jordan Martinez, Jada Martinez, Andrew Martinez, Joseph Adkins, and Rachel Adkins;
sisters and their husbands, Wanda and Eldon Rybolt of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Linda and Ralph Stutton of Laurens, SC;
brothers and their wives, "Paul" John P. and Audrey Rock of Charleston, WV and "J.D." John D. and Shirley Rock of New Cummerstown, OH;
many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service at Chapman Funeral Home, 3941 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, WV with her nephew Pastor Jay Clifton Rock officiating. Burial in Mt. Union United Methodist Cemetery.
