ECKHART--Ruth E. Snyder, 84, formerly of Piney Mountain Road and a resident of Frostburg Village Nursing Home, died Thursday, Aug. 5, 1993 at Frostburg Hospital. Born July 7, 1909 in Eckhart she was the daughter of the late Robert Himmelwright and Anna S. ( Kimberly) Himmelwright. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Aaron L. Snyder in 1971. Mrs. Snyder was a homemaker, a member of Eckhart United Methodist Church, past secretary of the adult Bible class, a member of the Eckhart Square Circle Club and the Clarysville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. Survivors include a son, Robert L. Snyder and his wife, Frances, Boonsboro, and two grandsons, Robert L. Snyder Jr., Frederick, and John B. Snyder, Hagerstown. Friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, Saturday from 2:30 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. George M. Harpold. Interment will be in Eckhart Cemetery. The Clarysville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will hold a memorial service on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. The family requests memorials be sent to the Clarysville Fire Department.
