- GOSHEN - Richard Lewis Lamb, 84, died Friday evening at Courtyard Healthcare.

He was born May 14, 1927, in Goshen, to Merle and Jennie (Miller) Lamb. He married Laura A. McDonough June 16, 1950, in Goshen. She died April 13, 2011.

He is survived by two daughters, Catherine (Steven) Brandenberger, Middlebury, and Carrie (Lloyd) Brubaker, Goshen; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Freda Stamper, Phoenix, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Charles, Floyd, Jonas, Ernest and Merle Lamb.

A lifetime Goshen resident, Mr. Lamb was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Goshen, and a World War II veteran.

A fireman, Mr. Lamb served in many different positions with the Goshen Fire Department. At the time of his retirement, he was a fire code inspector.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.

An 11 a.m. Tuesday memorial service will be conducted at Trinity Lutheran Church, Goshen. Pastor John Hickey, Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate. A private family burial will take place at Violett Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
