Mary Elizabeth DeMille
1910-2011
DeMille Mary Elizabeth of the Jordan Life Care Center and formerly of Goshen and Anagance, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Mary had just recently celebrated her 101st birthday on April 1st.
Born in Mechanic Settlement, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Ada (McNair) Bustin. She was a homemaker, a member of the former Mechanic Settlement United Church and the former Anagance United Church. Mary was a life member of the United Church Women and a member of the Anagance Senior Citizens. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, cooking and visiting with friends and relatives.
She is survived and missed by son Sherman (Linda) of Salisbury; cherished grandchildren Tammy Marshall (Allan) of Salisbury and Darcy (Shannon) of Moncton and a most cherished great grandson Logan Marshall. She is also survived by sisters in law Edith Bustin of Ontario, Katherine Bustin and Elizabeth Bustin both of Portage Vale and several nieces and nephews. Mary was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by husband Sherman William (1977); brothers Frank and his wife Hattie, Thomas, Harry and his wife Irene, Murray and Samuel; sister Ella and her husband Robert Dunfield; nieces Lois Bustin, Marie Killam and nephew Chesley Dunfield.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Thursday from 6 - 9 pm and from where the service will be held Friday April 29 at 11 am with Rev. Dan Compton officiating. Interment at Anagance Cemetery at a later date.
