DEATH CLAIMS WIDELY KNOWN LOCAL WOMAN
Mrs. Julia Catherine Saxon, 74, Died Early Thursday at Hospital Here.
Mrs. Julia Catherine Saxon, 74, widow of Thomas A. Saxon, Hartford City business man for over 45 years, died at 2:45 a.m. Thursday at the Blackford county hospital where she was admitted 19 days ago. Death was attributed to complications.
In falling health for a number of months, she had been bedfast five weeks before her removal to the hospital.
She was born in Montgomery county near Waynetown, June 3, 1873, and had been a resident of Hartford City the past 44 years. Her home was at 712 North High Street.
The decedent was a member of the Baptist church at Waynetown, and here she was a member of the Ladies of the Moose.
The husband died in September 1934.
Survivors are a son, Thomas J. Saxon, this city, three grandsons, Thomas L., Richard L., Larry Lee Saxon; one brother Joseph Pierce, of near Waynetown and one sister Mrs. Laura Birdell, of Waynetown.
The body removed to the Baxter and Market funeral home, will remain there where friends may call.
SERVICES SATURDAY
Services in charge of the Rev. Harper McCune, pastor of the First Christian church, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel.
Interment will be in the I.O.O. F. cemetery.
