SERVICES FOR MRS. OSWEILER

Mrs. John (Mae) Osweiler, age 87, died June 25 at Maplewood Manor at Keota where she had resided the past three years. She formerly lived in Sigourney. She was born May 4, 1895 in Keokuk County the daughter of James Heath and Margaret Bensmiller Webb. She graduated from Sigourney high school in 1913. She was a member of the St. Mary Catholic church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
She married John Osweiler Sept. 22, 1914 at Sigourney. They farmed 17 years northeast of South English and 20 years west of North English before moving to Sigourney in 1965.
Mrs. Osweiler is survived by six sons, Edward of Tucson, Ariz., Paul of Webster City, Mervin of Marengo, Joseph of South English, Robert of Webster, Benny of Williamsburg; three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Margorie) Clarahan of Harper, Mrs. Leslie (Imogene) Steele of Deep River and Mrs. Kenneth (Donna) Daub of Kankakee, Ill.; 44 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; two brothers, Will Webb of Dayton and Frank Webb of Oskaloosa; and two sisters, Mrs. Geroge (Clara) Dumont and Anna Webb, both of Sigourney.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oct. 5, 1967; a son, Daniel; a daughter, Marcella; and a brother, Charles Webb.
Funeral services were June 28 at St. Mary Catholic church with Msgr. Edward C. Greer officiating. Burial was at Pleasant Grove cemetery. Casket bearers were David Clarahan, Timothy Osweiler, Douglas Osweiler, Jeffrey Osweiler, Daniel Clarahan and Mark Daub.
