Dorothy M. Beaver, 67, of Marinette, went to be with Jesus on Monday, August 6, 2012, at Bay Area Medical Center. She was born October 18, 1944, in Marinette, to Alvin and Gertrude Voight. Dorothy spent her early life in Marinette, later moving to Menominee. She was a 1964 graduate of correspondence school in Chicago. She also attended Trinity Bible College for one year. On September 11, 1965, she married Bernie Beaver. They were later divorced in October of 1974. Dorothy raised her family as a stay at home mom. From April of 1991 until the present, she worked at the Best Western Riverfront Inn as a housekeeper. She was a member of Lakeside Assembly of God in Menominee. Dorothy was a woman of strong faith and a model Christian, praying for her family daily. She was liked by everyone who knew her. Dorothy is survived by two daughters: Beth Sheber, her husband, Daniel and their daughter, Monica, of Menasha, Wis.; and Brenda Spencer, her husband Joe, and children: Danielle, Joe, Jr., Jordan and Justin, of Newnan, Ga.; and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home, Marinette, after 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 12, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home with the Rev. Herb Kolenda officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
