Earl J. Havens Sr.
WHITESBORO - Earl J. Havens Sr. of Clinton Road died Friday in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Havens was born in Utica and attended Utica schools. He married Florence Weinkertz in 1947 in Utica . He was employed by the H. Waterbury & Sons Co. of Oriskany and was the company's shipping supervisor for the past six years.
He was a member of St. Anne's Church, Whitesboro.
Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Diane Meeker of Utica and Sgt. Debora Havens, USAF, Vanderburg Air Force Base, Calif.; four sons, Bruce of Oriskany Falls, Jay of Rome, Sgt. Earl Havens Jr., US Army, Fort Davis, Panama and Duane Havens at home, and a sister, Mrs. John (Dorothy) Artz of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
The funeral will be at 8:15 from the Hobaica Funeral Home, under the direction of Samuel A. Gigliotti, Funeral Director, and at 9 at St. Anne's Church where a Mass of the Resurection will be offered. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
