Artie Lafayette Abernathy Jr, 62 passed away Sunday March 11 2012 at his residence. He was born December 1 1949 in Pampe, Texas the son of Artie and Sheryl Rice Abernathy Sr.
Artie served his country during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Caribou V.F.W. Post #9389. He enjoyed reading cars watching baseball especially little league baseball.
He is survived by four children William Abernathy, Artie Abernathy III, Traci Stone and her husband, Michael Sherry Abernathy, and a grandson David Abernathy.
A graveside service with military honors was held Friday June 22 at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery in Caribou.
