Steven Lee Maxwell, 59, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away Thursday August 9, at the Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.

He was born September 24, 1952 in Lima, OH, the son of the late James Edward Maxwell and Hazel Rains Maxwell Hoskins.
Steve was a member and deacon at the Spirit and Truth Worship Center in Arthur, TN, where he was a faithful servant of the Lord.

He served his Country proudly in the United States Marine Corps where he attained the rank of Sergeant.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Charlotte Kay Maxwell, Son in law: James Martin Hatfield, brother in law: Bill Murphy and sister in law: Brenda Maxwell.

He is survived by the following members of his family:

Wife: Mary R. Maxwell of Middlesboro, KY
Daughters: Adra (Mack) Flowers of Lancaster, TX and Heather (Scott) Gray of Pineville, KY.
Step Children: Jennifer Frazier of Middlesboro, KY; Tom (Amy) Gambrel of Middlesboro, KY; Clark (Jessica) Gambrel of Lawrenceburg, KY and Sam (Jennifer) Gambrel of Kettle Island, KY.
Brothers: Roger (Dottie) Maxwell of Middlesboro, KY and Preston (Judy) Maxwell of Poulsbo, WA
Sister: Debbie Murphy of Caneyville, KY
Step-Father: Odell Hoskins of Middlesboro, KY
Special Cousins: Rev. Woodrow and Barbara Gilbert of Middlesboro, KY
And a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and his church family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday August 15, at the Spirit and Truth Worship Center in Arthur, TN with the Rev. Audie Miracle presiding.
Music will be provided by the Spirit and Truth Praise Team.

Interment will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 14, at the Creech Funeral Home.
