Daughter of Col. Henry Ashton and his wife, Elizabeth Hardidge. Before Anne Ashton married William Aylett, Jr., of King William County, she received a deed of gift from her father, dated January 1724, for the land, "I now live on by the name of Nominy Plantation, first patented by Col Thomas Speke." Anne Ashton Aylett died before her father, leaving two daughters, (Anne and Elizabeth) and her husband, Capt. William Aylett. They all continued to live at Nominy Plantation with Henry Ashton and his second wife, Mary Watts.

In her father's will, probated 1731, he left Anne's daughters by William Aylett, each 400 acres of land.
