Nehemiah was a soldier in the French and Indian War 1755 - 1763. He was listed on Col. Brattle's regiment for crown point September 18,1755. He also, aided in the Revolutionary struggle (war) for three years and served on the continental line. He left Lexington about 1777, moved to Luxemburg, Massachusetts, and afterwards went to West Cambridge (now Arlington). He died in Hopkinton, N.H. while visiting his son. He was killed by Indians on his way home from Rumford where he had gone to visit Dr. Ezra Carter.
