Suggested edit: BRIDGEWATER - Diana G. Bradstreet, 80 years old, passed away peacefully at her home in Bridgewater on February 25, 2023. She was the daughter of Dan and Henrietta Bradstreet.
Diana grew up in Bridgewater and attended Bridgewater Classical Academy, then moved to Augusta and spent 30 years working for the Department of Motor Vehicles. She was an active member and pianist at her church and had many friends. When Diana retired, she returned to Bridgewater to care for her parents. She enjoyed playing the flute at the Bridgewater Baptist Church, growing flowers, watching the birds, and enjoying the antics of her beloved cat Daisy. She also took on the mammoth task of feeding the Bradstreets every Christmas Eve, welcoming whoever they should bring with them. She was known for her quiet and kind manner, always welcoming, and never complaining.
She is survived by her brother, Wayne Bradstreet and his wife, Mavis, of Bridgewater; five nephews, Ryan Bradstreet and his wife, Wendy, of Bridgewater, and their children, Ethan and Emma, Alan Bradstreet and his wife, Melissa, of Michigan, and their children, Daniel and Katelyn, Shawn Bradstreet and his wife, Chara, of California, and their two daughters, Callie and Sadie, Shane Bradstreet of Portland, and Lance Bradstreet and wife, Sarah, of New York, and their children, Lily, Annabelle and Oliver; and a niece, Julie Bradstreet and her husband, TJ, of Waterville. She was predeceased by a very special grand-niece, Megan Bradstreet.
The family would like to express appreciation for the DaVita Boyd Dialysis Center in Bangor, and for Hospice and their care.
There will not be any visiting hours or funeral. A graveside service will be held at Smith Cemetery in the summer. Arrangements in care of Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main St., Mars Hill, ME 04758. Online memories and condolences may be shared with the family at: duncan-graves.com.
