Barbara Jane Buddington Hurley, age 70, beloved wife of 50 years to Louis Keith Hurley, Sr., died on Monday, August 6, 2012 at Tuomey Medical Center.
Born in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Leonard and Emily Virginia Ricker Buddington. She was employed at the BX at Shaw Air Force Base for many years. She was a member of the MRMA Club and active within the Jamil Temple Shrine Club and the Gamecock Shrine Club. She was an avid camper and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving in addition to her husband are: two sons, Mark Louis Hurley of Annapolis, MD and Louis Keith Hurley, Jr. and his wife Amy of Dalzell; one sister, Emily Jean Voss of Arkansas; four grandchildren, Mark L. Hurley, Jr, Desirae Hurley, Joseph Raymond Louis Hurley and Emily–Louise Elizabeth Hurley and one great grandchild, Scarlet Hurley.
She was preceded in death by a sister, JoAnn Buddington Mudd.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Daniel L. Clarke, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 6-8 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.
