Funeral services for Sam Tyree, 86 will be held on Wednesday, November 24 at 1pm at Seydler-Hill Chapel Winegeart and the Rev Leslie Welch will officiate with interment at Floyds Chapel cemetery.
Mr. Tyree died on Monday at 8:10pm at the Nex Hospital in San Antonio.
He was born on Oct. 24, 1896 to Robert Gleghorn Tyree and Elizabeth Lester. He was married on May 14, 1916 in Wrightsboro to Mamie Bell Turner, and the family home was on Route 3,where Mr. Tyree was a rancher. He was a 62 year member of the Gonzales Woodmen of the World.
He is survived by his wife; one sister, Miss Emma Tyree and many nieces and nephews.
