Martha was a member of First Baptist Church in Bessemer City. She previously worked at Gaston Memorial Hospital and also as a custodian for First Baptist Church. Martha retired from the Gaston County School system after 18 years of service. She loved to work outside and also loved working in her flower gardens. Martha also loved to go fishing with her sons. She also loved to eat fried chicken, especially the leg. Martha was a loving wife and a wonderful, special mom. She will be very deeply missed.
In addition to her parents, Martha is preceded in death by her loving husband Albert Lindberg Wylie; brothers Alvoid Albright and wife Jean, Clayton Albright, Ralph Albright, Ray Albright and wife Louise, Clyde Albright and wife Doris; and sister Edith Riddle Rockholt; granddaughter Marla Wylie; brother-in-laws, Tom Canipe, Pete Adams .
She is survived by sons, Allan Wylie, James Wylie and wife Sheila, and David Wylie, all of Bessemer City, sister, Emma Adams of Anderson S.C., twin sister, Mary Canipe of Bessemer City, grandchildren Madison and Megan Wylie of Bessemer City, Heather and husband Steve Blake of Gastonia, Robert Ware of Lake Wylie; great-grandchildren, Sierra Blake, Carson Blake, and Kayden Weaver.

Interment:Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.
