Funeral will be at 11 a.m Monday at Morgan Funeral Chapel for Virgil Cecil McDowell, 71, Los Angeles, Calif., who died Sunday, March 13, 1988. A full military graveside service will follow at Forrest Cemetery. Morgan Funeral Chapel is in charge. Mr. McDowell was a native of Etowah County and a resident of California for the past 25 years. He was a veteran and served in the U. S. Air Force. He is survived by two sons, Bill McDonald, Boaz, James McDowell, Texas; one sister, Daisy Morris, California; two brothers, Bill McDowell, Athens, Perry Hammett, Georgia; two granddaughters;several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends after 1:30 today.
