Mr. Alex Arnette died on August 8, 2012 at McLeod Hospice House of Florence after an illness. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 3:00 pm at Piney Grove Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Cooke Funeral Home.
Mr. Arnette was the son of June Arnette and the late Roy Arnette. He was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. He was also a member and Past Master of Blue Lodge #142, A.F.M. He was the 2011/2012 Forestry Commission Firefighter of the Year.
Surviving Mr. Arnette are his wife, Robbie Martin Arnette; daughters, Rachel A. Hardy (Brent) and Sarah A. Mathis (Lester); bro-thers, Harry Arnette (Mechele), James Arnette (Debbie), David Arnette, Walter Arnette (Becky) and Joel Arnette (Dianne): sister, Diane Bellamy (Sonny): and grandson Dorian Mathis.
Mr. Arnette was preceded in death by his father, Roy Arnette.
