Wife of N.C.From the Chatsworth Plaindealer
MRS. N.C. (ABIGAL R.) KENYON
MARCH 16, 1879

Mrs. Kenyon, wife of Mr. N.C. Kenyon, died on Monday night, after a long and severe illness. The funeral services were held at the residence on Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Mr. Trask, assisted by Rev. Mr. Stephenson. Mrs. Kenyon was born December 28, 1843, at Granville, Putnam county, this state; was married July 21, 1863, and was a resident of this place since September 1865. Her age was 35 years, 2 months and 10 days.

This Memoriam was placed on April 27, 1879 for Mrs. Kenyon:
WHEREAS, It has pleased our Heavenly Father to remove from this life our dear friend and sister, Abigal R. Kenyon, wife of our much esteemed Worshipful Master and beloved Brother, N.C. Kenyon. therefore,
RESOLVED, That while we bow in humble submission to the will of our Heavenly Father, we rejoice that she is free from pain, and that she has reached that home which God in his infinite love has prepared for his children.
RESOLVED, That in her we recognize a sister whose heart was ever open to every call of sorrow or distress, faithful to every duty, a firm friend and affectionate wife, beloved and respected by all.
RESOLVED, That we most sincerely condole with our dear Brother in the great trial and affliction which he has been called to pass through and to the relations and friends we extend our heartfelt sympathy in their deep affliction.
RESOLVED, That these resolutions be spread upon their Lodge records, and a copy be presented to our bereaved Brother.
Respectfully submitted,

Note: I believe that the stone photo by Michael D. on this site is actually that of Abigail Rosa Sprague Kenyon. Go to her memorial to see it. Not totally sure, but suspect this.

Note: In researching 1870 census, Abigail and Nathan and daughter, Minnie, age 1 year and 2 months, are in Chatsworth. By 1880 census, Nathan is a widow listed with Minnie, age 12, adopted. Since Abigail and Nathan married in 1863, don't know how this could be? I have found that Abigail and Nathaniel had a daughter born Dec.7, 1867 in Chatsworth, Minnie Gertrude, according to Livingston County history's biography of Nathan. Family Search has a marriage record for her in 1886, listing Culver N. and Rosa Kenyon as parents, to a Charles D. Weston, in Batavia, IL.. I have not been able to follow their trail any further at this time.
