He was a lifelong resident and farmer in Bainbrige Township, Schuyler County, until he retired and moved to Rushville in 1983.
He married Helen Marguerite Miltenberg on December 5,1925 in Mount Sterling,IL.She died September 13, 1986.
Surviving are four sons, Keith of Bushnell, IL Bill of Macomb,IL. Kenneth of Columbus, Ohio and Norman of Burlington;fifteen grandchildren; and twenty-two great-grandchildren, He was also preceded in death by one grandson, four brothers and two sisters . Services were Friday, March 31st. at the Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville . Burial was in the Rushville Cemetery
