Walter was the 7th child born to Henry and Sarah (Sadie) Marshall.
He was born in Hood River Oregon and the family moved to Carson Washington.
He married Ruby Brown. They had no children together, but she had a son from a previous marriage.
Walter (and Ruby) loved to garden, and do crossword puzzles.
When Ruby had to move into a nursing home, Walter would drive everyday to visit her.
Walter passed away in his home on November 12th 1995, and is buried along with his wife Ruby in Willamette National Cemetery in Portland Oregon.
