Mrs. A. J. Pool died at her home in
Milaca on Monday afternoon at 2:30
o'clock from a complication of paral-
ysis and heart disease, aged 71 years
3 months and 8 days. Mrs. Pool had
been a sufferer for a considerable
period of time, having sustained three
paralytic strokes previous to that
which she received on Saturday last
and which hastened her death.

Mrs. Pool's maiden name was Mary
M. Kelso and she was born in Ohio in
1837. She was married in Iowa on
September 9, 1857 and, with her husband,
came to Minnesota in 1866, first
settling at Taylors Falls, where the
family remained eighteen years. Upon
leaving Taylors Falls Mr. and Mrs.
Pool and family moved to Minneapolis
and lived there until 1896, when they
took up their residence in the town of
Baldwin. After a period of about six
years they located in the village of
Milaca, where Mrs. Pool died.

A husband, four sons and three
daughters survive Mrs. Pool. The
sons are Chas. S. and Oliver B.,
Milaca; Frank A., St. Paul; John J.,
South Falls. The daughters are Mrs.
N. M. Carlson, Minneapolis; Mrs.
Fred C. Bussey, Chandler; Mrs Chas.
Mitchell, Hibbing. She also leaves
twenty-three grandchildren and three
brothers.

Funeral services were held at the
family residence in Milaca yesterday
morning at 9 o'clock and the interment
took place in Oak Knoll cemetery,
Princeton, directly after the arrival of
the morning train. Rev. W. A. Robin-
son of the Milaca M. E. church con-
ducted the services at Milaca and at
the grave.
