Virginia Uffens Smith, age 88, passed away June 20, 2002 in SLC. Born Sept 29, 1913, to Uffo Uffens of Salt Lake and Jobje Lena Gerritsen Uffens in SLC, UT. Married Hadley Frank Smith in April of 1939, in SLC. Virginia was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a woman of strong faith and she joyfully built her life around her faith and family. Survived by one sister, Dorothy Brown, Salt Lake; one brother, LeGrand Uffens, Sacramento, CA; and three grandchildren, Hadley K. Smith, Prattville AL, Jennine Smith Searcy, Metropolis, IL, Charles R. Smith, Marshall MO; and nine great-grandchil-dren. Preceded in death by her husband, Hadley Frank Smith; two sons, Franklin Gene Smith, Dale Robert Smith; sister, Pearl Nigren; and three brothers, Joseph, William, Nephi Uffens. Gravesides services will be Tues. June 25, 2002, 11 a.m., Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 10600 S. 1950 E..
