ATTEMPTED SUICIDE
James Teed, near Warren, is in a critical condition, the results of an attempt to take his life.
He has been in poor health some time and mentally deranged. Last Saturday he made an assault upon his wife, using a butcher knife. She succeeded in evading him and thereby escaped injury. He then turned the weapon on his own throat and, but for the dullness of the knife, would have succeeded in ending his life. At the time of writing he is quite feeble. --- Monroe City News.

Warren.
In the death of James Teed once again we must bow to the will of Almighty God in taking from our midst a devoted husband and loving father.
James Teed was born in the state of New York, April 22, 1840. Died at his home in Warren, June 28, 1915, age 75 years, 2 months, 1 day. He was married to Miss Abby Kuse, November, 22, 1865. To this union was born three sons and one daughter. Will and Lewis survive him, Mrs. Carrie Logan and Frank having crossed to the great eternity before him. Besides his wife and sons, he leaves eight grand children to mourn his departure. He united with Andrew Chapel during S. R. Dillman's pastorate. Funeral services were held at that church Thursday morning at ten o'clock, Rev. R. O. Triplett conducting the services.
