Louis Borst, 64, of 513 South 25th street, died this morning at the Wisconsin
General hospital in Madison where he had been a patient the past week. He had
suffered a lingering illness.
The body is being brought to the Pfeffer funeral home here from Madison but
funeral arrangements are still incomplete. Plans for the funeral will be
announced Wednesday.
Mr. Borst was born in Germany on Sept. 29, 1878 and came to this country in
1908, settling at Holland, Mich., with his wife, the former Regina Schwedhelm,
whom he married in 1900. Thirty-one years ago the couple moved to this city and
for 24 years Mr. Borst was an employe of the Invincible Metal Furniture Company
where he was a foreman for many years.
He was a member of the Freier Saengerbund singing society here, and was also a
member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Survivors are the widow, two sons, Henry of Danville, Ill., and Lester of Racine;
one brother, William in Germany, and one sister, Mrs. Freda Horstman, in Germany.

Funeral services for Louis Borst, 64, of 513 South 25th street, who died in a
Madison hospital yesterday will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Pfeffer funeral
home, the Rev. Carl Hagen officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. The
Eagles lodge, of which Mr. Borst was a member, will conduct brief rites at the
grave.
The body may be viewed from Thursday noon until the hour of the services at the
funeral home.
