WESLEY L. BOSWELL

Wesley L. Boswell, 81, of 1322 N. 12th St., Manitowoc, died Sunday morning,
December 2 at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Memorial services will be held at
1:30 pm Wednesday, December 5, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Manitowoc.
Rev. Jim Barnes officiating with cremation having taken place and burial of
the ashes later at Evergreen Cemetery.
He was born September 19, 1909 at Menominee, Michigan, son of the late Edwin
and Agnes Smith Boswell. He grew up and attended elementary schools in
Menominee, Michigan, moving to Manitowoc with his family as a teenager and
attending Lincoln High School. He owned and operated Wesley Boswell Outdoor
Advertising Company, retiring in 1968. He was part of the Billy Schultz Circus
in Manitowoc and was also very active with Boy Scouting in Manitowoc. He was
awarded the Silver Beaver Award in 1962. He was also a past President of the
Boy Scout Council. He was married to Marie Radl on November 23, 1935 in
Manitowoc. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and a member
and past President of the Manitowoc Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Marie; one brother and sister-in-law, Jack and
June Boswell of Tucson, Arizona; one sister and brother-in-law, Caroline and
Walter Ewald of Menominee, Michigan; also surviving are nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends. There will be no visitation before the services but
friends may gather with Marie in the Fellowship Hall of the church after the
memorial services. Reinbold Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei is assisting the family
with arrangements.
