Private Christian Science funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bowers,
who died at Manitowoc County hosptal, were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at
Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Erwin K. Fanta was the Christian Science
reader and burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Bowers, 86, died Tuesday amd Mr. Bowers, 86, died Thursday.
Mr. Bowers was born April 10, 1878, at Akron Ohio, son of the late William H.
and Anna Cross Bowers. He attended schools at Akron and at Milwaukee and was
a heating contractor and founder of Industrial Heating and Engineering Co.,
Milwaukee.
Mrs. Bowers, the former Lillian Marshall, was born Oct. 22, 1878, at Akron,
daughter of the late Perry and Elizabeth Evans Marshall. She attended schools
at Akron.
The couple was married in 1925 and lived at Akron a short time, moving to
Milwaukee until coming to Manitowoc in 1962. He was a member of Milwaukee
Yacht Club, Elks Club and National Association of Power Engineers at Milwaukee.
They are survived by a son, (private), of Manitowoc, seven grandchildren and
four great grandchildren. A son, Harold Jr., of Oakland, Calif., died in 1957.
