Roland J. Brachmann (sic), 77, of 1131 S. 11th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday
at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc,
the Rev. Alfred Pritzl officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Brachmann was born June 24, 1887, at Northeim, son of the late John and
Katherine Stephani Brachmann. He was employed more than 35 years at a carpenter
at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc., and retired in 1952. He married Clara Rath
Feb. 7, 1912, at Manitowoc. She died in 1961. He was a member of the Senior
Citizens Club and member and past president of Carpenters Local 849.
Survivors are five sons, Elmer, Alvin and Ramon of Manitowoc, Marvin of Fond
du Lac and Ira of Conecticut (sic); three daughters, Mrs. Donald (Alice) Hansen
and Mrs. John (Donna) Powlisz of Manitowoc and Veronica Van Garder of Pennsylvania;
21 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Two sons and a sister preceded him
in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday.
