ARLINE BRANDEL

Arline G. Brandel, age 82, of 416 S. 26th St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday afternoon,
June 7, 2005 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc. She was born
Sept. 16, 1922, in the town of Manitowoc Rapids, daughter of the late Frank and
Anna Hrdina Benishek. Arline was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Manitowoc,
class of 1940. On July 5, 1944, she married Herbert V. Brandel at St. Mary's
Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. He preceded her in death Sept. 2, 2001. Arline was
employed at A & P Whitehouse Milk Division as a secretary from 1958 until 1977.
She then continued working for Anesthesia Associates from 1978 until her retirement
in 1993. Arline was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church since 1952, an honorary
member of St. Paul Parish Women and was formerly involved in the Adoration Society.
She also spent 10 years as a Manitowoc Girl Scout Leader.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Brandel, Appleton; Patrick
and Linda Brandel, Manitowoc; five grandchildren: Todd VanElls and special friend,
Kelly; Scott (Connie) VanElls; Erin Brandel; Nathan Brandel and Adam Brandel and his
special friend, Melissa; four great grandchildren, Ryan, Alec and Tessandra Van Ells;
Elizabeth Brandel; two sisters and two brothers-in-law: Vivian Wadzinske, Francis
Creek; Genevieve and Raymond Diedrich, Valders; Frank Tuschl, Manitowoc; and father
of Todd and Scott VanElls, Joseph (Carol) VanElls, Manitowoc. Also surviving are
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by a
daughter, Diane VanElls, a granddaughter, Vicki VanElls; two great grandchildren,
Zachary and Alexis; a sister, Dorothy Tuschl and a brother-in-law, James Wadzinske.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 am Monday, June 13, 2005 at the Pfeffer Funeral
Home and Cremation Care Center and at 10 am at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Daniel Felton with burial
at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. The family will greet relatives and friends at the
Pfeffer Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc from 5 to 8 pm Sunday,
June 12, 2005, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 pm led by Deacon Alan
Boeldt.
