MARY M. BRANDT (d. 1949)

Mrs. William F. Brandt, 82, of 815 Park street, died Saturday afternoon,
following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Frazier mortuary chapel,
the Rev. Carroll Hinderlie officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
The deceased was born Mary Maas at Brandon, Wis., in 1867 and came here with
her parents at an early age. The family located on a farm in Newton. She was
married to Mr. Brandt, founder of the Brandt Printing and Binding company, in
1890. He died in July, 1936.
Survivors are two sons, Ariel of Centralia, Wash., and Wilbur of Milwaukee;
four daughters, Myrtle Moody, Trilby and Lola at home, and Mrs. Rohda Gallagher
of Lacon, Ill.; two stepsons, Charles Brandt of this city and John of Pomona,
Calif.; three brothers, John Maas of the city, Henry, Michigan City, Ind., and
Fred of Loman, Minn.; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the mortuary until the hour of services Tuesday.

The following is her daughter's obituary:
Miss Lola Brandt, 84, a Manitowoc resident, died Sunday evening, April 11, at
Manitowoc County Health Care Center.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Friday at St. James Episcopal Church, Manitowoc.
The Rev. William Harvey will officiate. Miss Brandt had willed her body to
Medical College of Wisconsin.
Miss Brandt was born Dec. 17, 1897, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late William
and Mary Maas Brandt. She was a graduate of local Manitowoc high school in 1919,
and Battle Creek College, Battle Creek, Mich., in 1922. She had been a dietitian
in New York City and Brooklyn, N.Y. She was a member of American Association of
University Women and Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers
and three sisters.
Memorials may be made to Nurses Scholarship Fund of Memorial Hospital Auxiliary,
or St. James Episcopal Church, Manitowoc. Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, was
in charge of arrangements.
