Sophie L. Brandt, age 77, of 1433 North 6th St. Manitowoc died
Thursday, May 3, 2001 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center,
Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2001 at
Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 818 State Street, Manitowoc
with Rev. Alan Sunn Officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen
Cemetery.
Sophie was born April 29, 1924 at Manitowoc, daughter of the late
William P. and Emma Tadych Rohl. She was employed at Mirro Aluminum for
many years prior to her retirement in 1987. She married Milton H.
Brandt, December 25, 1943 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. They
celebrated 52 years together. She enjoyed working at the voting polls,
sewing, baby-sitting, gardening and making people happy.
Surviving children include: Son: Robert H. (Catherine) Brandt, Reedsville;
Patricia (Scott) Christiansen, Menomonee Falls, Wis.; William (Leslie)
Brandt, Longmont, Colorado; Susan Brandt, Manitowoc, and special friend
Neal Weber; Sharon Braun, Manitowoc and fiancé, Chuck Sprang; six
grandchildren include: Alan Brandt, Debra Brandt, Carri and Lesli Brandt
and Shelly and Tracy Brandt; two great grandchildren: Matti Lee Brandt
and Evan Brandt; six sisters: Dorothy Shea, Chicago, Ill.; Alma Leach,
Two Rivers, Elmira Haislmaier, Milwaukee; Nora Baker, Massilon, Ohio;
Joyce Alberdinger, Garnvin, Arkansas; Verna Newburn, Casper, Wyoming.
In addition to her parents and husband Milton, she was predeceased by
five sisters and two brothers.
