BRANDT RITES HELD IN CITY
Funeral services for William F. Brandt, head of the printing firm which bears
his name and prominent in early day newspaper history in Manitowoc, took place
this afternoon from the Frazier mortuary.
Services were in charge of Chickerming lodge of Odd Fellows, of which Mr. Brandt
was a member for years. The chaplain of the lodge, officiated at services at
the mortuary and also at the grave with members of the lodge acting as
pallbearers.
In recognition of the military life of Mr. Brandt, who served at one time as
captain of Company H before the Spanish-American war, a firing squad from Company
E fired a salute at the grave. Taps was blown by William Wegner.
Interment was at Evergreen cemetery.
