DOROTHY C. BRAUN

Dorothy C. (Sheehan) Braun, a resident of 846 Jackson St., Manitowoc, died early
on Thursday morning, Nov. 15, 2007, at River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center,
Manitowoc.
Dorothy is the daughter of the late Ervin and Armella (Stadler) Sheehan. She was
a graduate of Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, class of 1948. Dorothy then graduated
from Silver Lake College with a bachelor's degree in education. On May 30, 1959, she
married Eugene Braun at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Dorothy co-owned
and operated Keystone Preschool in Manitowoc. She was an avid tennis player, and
enjoyed traveling, reading, card club, bingo and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband: Eugene Braun; two sons and daughters-in-law: David
and Julie Braun, and Paul and Deb Braun, all of Manitowoc; four grandchildren: Carley,
Alex, Lizzy and Brenna; and two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Darlene and John
Wirtz, Clemens Braun, and Jerome and Darlene Braun, all of Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by an infant
sister: Dorothy Ann; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Dr. Robert and Leatrice
Sheehan and Hartnett Sheehan; and two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law: Harold
and Katie Braun and Marianne Braun.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at St. Francis of
Assisi on Grand Ave., Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be
the Rev. John Schuetze. Dorothy will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc,
following cremation.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation
Care Center, Manitowoc, from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007. Friends may also
call on Monday morning at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand Ave., Manitowoc, from 10
a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be
established in Dorothy's name.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Herring and her many caregivers in the past two years
for their compassion and support given to Dorothy and her family.
