Orval W. Breuer, 73, of 814 N. 12th St., Manitowoc, died Monday at Memorial
Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First Lutheran Church
Chapel, Manitowoc. The Rev. Theodore Vinger will officiate and burial will be
in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Breuer was born July 15, 1897, at Manitowoc, a son of the late William H.
and Isa Hanson Breuer. He married Louise Schuette June 27, 1922. Mr. Breuer
was a registered professional engineer and studied civil engineering at the
University of Wisconsin. He was a veteran of World War I. He had been employed
with the Wisconsin State Highway Dept. and served as Manitowoc County highway
commissioner. Mr. Breuer was also president of the Bahr Construction Co. from
1929 until his death. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church and also
participated on the building committee of the church. He was a member of
Manitowoc Elks Lodge, a 50-year Mason, a member of the American Legion Drews-
Bleser Post No. 88 and a member of the Wisconsin Society of Professional
Engineers.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Richard and Ned, of Manitowoc and seven
grandchildren.
Friends may call at Schneider-Mitnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5 o’clock
to 8 o’clock this Tuesday evening and at church Wednesday morning until the
time of service.
Memorials may be made to the First Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
