Carl Brey, 39, of 820 North Eighth street, died suddenly of a heart attack
at the home Saturday noon. Mr. Brey had always enjoyed good health although
he had complained of a slight cold Friday. He had completed plans to attend
the Packer-Bear football game at Green Bay Sunday with two friends when he
was stricken.
Funeral services, under Masonic auspices, will be held at the Masonic Temple
Tuesday at 2 p.m. The Rev. C.H. Phipps of the First Presbyterian church will
officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Brey was born at Algoma October 29, 1901 and when a boy came to this city
with his parents. After completing school he entered the employ of the
Manitowoc Ship Building Company, where he was a clerk. In 1924 he married Miss
Nora Spaeth of Two Rivers. He was a member of the Masonic Order.
Survivors are the widow; two daughters, Lois Ann and Doris May, and a son,
Donald, all of this city.
The body may be viewed at the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home. It
will be moved to the Masonic Temple tomorrow at 10 a.m.

Marriage of Carl/Nora Brey-Carl d. 1941
The marriage of Miss Nora Beatrice Spaeth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Spaeth,
1613 Twenty-Third Street, took place at Milwaukee Saturday. The groom is Carl H.
Brey of Manitowoc. The ceremony was performed at the Hotel Pfister of Milwaukee.
Miss Joyce Murphy and Lewis Waldorf, friends of Mr. and Mrs. Brey were the
attending couple.
Following a luncheon at the Pfister Hotel at which twenty-five guests were present,
Mr. and Mrs. Brey left on a two weeks' honeymoon for Freeport, Il. They will be at
home to friends after March 16 at their home on North Eighth Street at Manitowoc
where the groom is employed at the Manitowoc Shipbuilding corporation.
