Mrs. Kenneth (Monica) Brey, 71, of 2114 Fairmont Street, Manitowoc, died Sunday morning, May 13, at home.
Funeral services will be 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at Parkside Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. at Holy Innocent Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by her nephew, Rev. Daniel Dewane, with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Brey was born January 15, 1913, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late John J. and Martha Tegen Healy. Mrs. Brey attended St. Boniface Parochial School and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1930. Mrs. Brey continued her education at University of Marquette in Milwaukee, receiving her B.A. degree as a history major, graduating in 1934. She married Kenneth J. Brey on November 21, 1904, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Mrs. Brey was a member of Holy Innocent Catholic Church, member of the Altar Society of the church and a member of the Catholic Womens Club of Manitowoc.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth J. Brey; three sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth J. and Marcia Brey Jr., of Sturgeon Bay, Edwin P. and Lee Mary Brey of Manitowoc and John J. and Sharon Brey of Milwaukee; a daughter and a son-in-law, Julie Ann and Thomas Golding of Phelps, Wisconsin; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Charlotta Healy of Sheboygan Falls and John and Delores Healy of West Bend; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Miss Winnifred Healy of Elm Grove, Wisconsin, Mrs. Lenore Dewane of Manitowoc, June and Henry Wolf of Muskego, Wisconsin and John McCoy of the Philippines; 10 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends alo survived. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Sister Lenore Healy and Mrs. Cleo McCoy.
Friends may call at Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday evening. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening led by Father Daniel Dewane.
