She was born on Oct. 20, 1926, in Manitowoc daughter of the late Roy C. and Caroline (Hornung) Burgett. Lois was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, class of 1945. On Aug. 24, 1946, she married Milton J. Brice at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on May 18, 2008. She was employed as a secretary at Consumer Steel & Die and retired from Invincible Metal Furniture. Lois was a past member of the Catholic Women's Club, Holy Innocents Christian Women's Club and the Lakeshore Palettiers. Lois had many interest, especially oil painting, an avid reader, a Brewer and Packer fan and was a member of the Wii bowling league at the Gardens. She was presently a member of St. Francis of Assisi and the Daughters of Isabella.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: two daughters and a son-in-law; two grandchildren; one brother-in-law and his wife; two sisters-in-law and their husbands (private). Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Tommy; a grandson, Samuel; four sisters: Olive Palmer and her husband, Aaron; Florence Koneczka and her husband, Jonny; Lenore Hansen and her husband, Delmar; Ellen Starke and her husband, Ed; one brother: Cliff Burgett and his wife, Gert; and three brothers-in-law: Harley Brice and his wife, Leonis; Harold Brice and his wife, Sally; and Louis Brice and his wife, Ruth.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dan Felton and the Rev. Gerald Foley with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, until 10:45 a.m.
Lois and her dear husband, Milton, will be together once again for their 64th Wedding Anniversay on Aug. 24th. They will be present in all our hearts as we celebrate Clare & Troy's wedding on Aug. 28th. Loving mother and grandmother. She will be sadly missed.
