JOHN BRIXIUS DIES THURSDAY
Former Resident of The City Dies In Milwaukee
John Brixius, formerly connected with the street car company of this city, died
yesterday at his home in Milwaukee of a stroke after a year’s illness.
Funeral services will be held at St. Patricks church in Milwaukee on Monday and
the body will then be brought here on the North Western. The funeral will be
here the same afternoon with interment at Evergreen cemetery.
The deceased was born in Eau Claire in 1863. He lived in Manitowoc for 15 years
and for the last 25 years he was living in Milwaukee where he was an electrician.
While living in this city, he worked for the street car company.
Fifty years ago he married Emma Schneider who survives with the children, Mrs.
William Lybek, Mrs. Ben Winkleman, Mrs. James Lodde, Mrs. Henry Callan, Mrs. A.
Busse, Ben Brixius, Frank Brixius, Milwaukee, John Brixius, and George Brixius
of this city.
One sister, Mrs. Knope, Milwaukee, forty-one grandchildren, and one great-grand-
child also survive.
