Miss Kathryn Brixius, 36, of 810 South 28th street, Manitowoc, died Wednesday
afternoon at the Holy Family hospital, following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Urbanek and Schlei
funeral home, Manitowoc, and at 9 o’clock at St. Paul Catholic church. The Rev.
Clement Kern will officiate and interment will be in Evergreen cemetery,
Manitowoc.
She was born in Sioux City, Iowa. In 1914, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George
Brixius Sr., and came to Manitowoc with her parents. She was a seamstress and
dressmaker and a member of the auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors are the parents; two brothers, George Jr., and Harold F. of Manitowoc;
two sisters, Dorothy and Mrs. Francis Powalisz of Manitowoc.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday where the rosary will
be recited at 7 p.m. Friday.
