Ephraim G. Broderick, 83, of 706 N. Eighth st., Manitowoc, died Friday evening,
May 22, at home.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Parkside Funeral Home and 11 a.m.
at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian burial will be
celebrated by Rev. William Zimmer and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mr. Broderick was born Aug. 21, 1897, at Chicago, Ill., son of the late Daniel
and Elizabeth Nagle Broderick. He was educated at Manitowoc Business College. Mr.
Broderick was employed with Medusa Cement Company until 1964 when he retired. He
married Cecelia Zeiss in 1925 at Manitowoc. She preceded him in death in 1960. He
then married Gertrude DeSmit in 1964 at Manitowoc. She preceded him in death in
1979. Mr. Broderick was a veteran of World War I and was a member of Fraternal
Order of Eagles Aries No. 706, Manitowoc, Elks Lodge No. 687, 50 year member of
American Legion Drews Bleser Post No. 88, Manitowoc Yacht Club and Sacred Heart
Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons John Broderick of Greendale Wis. and James Broderick of
Sheboygan, a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Pribek of LaCrosse, a sister, Alice E.
Broderick of Manitowoc, 13 grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Friends may call at Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday,
where a prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m.
