Mrs. Jean Catharine Broehl, 68, of 1933A S. 10th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday
evening at Holy Family Extended Care Unit, Manitowoc.
Private funeral services will be Saturday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home.
The Rev. Richard Schmitz will officiate and cremation will follow.
Mrs. Broehl was born Oct. 13, 1905, at Oak Park, Ill., daughter of the late Guy
and Laura Radcliff Ditzler. She came to Manitowoc in 1930 and taught home
economics at Woodrow Wilson Junior High School. She also taught at Manitowoc
Vocational School and Mishicot and Valders high schools. She was married to J.
Albert Broehl, who preceded her in death Oct. 1, 1973.
Survivors include two sons, Peter R., of Kenosha and William A., of Rochester,
Minn., a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Barbara) Carstens, of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs.
Carol (Mary) Klinger, of Tampa, Fla.; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. S. W. Hinrichs,
of Manitowoc. A brother preceded her in death.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
