MRS. BROEKER PASSES AWAY
Dies of Heart Attack At Her Home Here
Mrs. Johanna Broeker, 83, nee Johanna Schwartz, died at her home, between Dewey
and Edwards street on South 10th, at 8 o’clock last night of a heart attack.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 from the home and at
2 o’clock from the First German Evangelical Lutheran church, the Rev.L.H.
Koeninger officiating. Burial will be made in the Evergreen cemetery.
The deceased was born Nov. 14, 1853 in Milwaukee. She was married Sept. 26, 1874
to John Broeker. The couple came to Manitowoc in 1899; Mr. Broeker died in 1922.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Henry Ladwig of Manitowoc and a son, Fred
Broeker, also of Manitowoc; 19 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
The body will be removed to the home Wednesday morning from the Pfeffer funeral
parlors.
