Death was due to infirmities incident to age and came without lingering illness
to Mr. Broeker. The funeral will be held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning from
the late home. Mr. Broeker was born in Germany in 1846 and came to Manitowoc at
the age of six years locating in the town of Manitowoc, just outside the city
where he conducted a small truck farm. Several years ago Mr. Broeker's home was
burned and at the time it was claimed that the fire was of incendiary origin
because the Broekers had befriended a neighbor. Mr. Broeker is survived by his
wife and three children, Mrs. Henry Ladwig and Fred Broeker, this city and Henry
Broeker, town of Manitowoc. There are eighteen grand children and six great
grandchildren.
