Mrs. Andrew Bruins, 80, of 1808A Wollmer St., Manitowoc, died Friday morning
at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
The Rev. Robert L. Sawall will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Bruins, nee Ida Scherer, was born June 18, 1893, in the Town of Manitowoc
Rapids, daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Fuchs Scherer. She was married
to Stanley Herzog and he preceded her in death in 1925. Dec. 24, 1927, she was
married to Andrew Bruins. The couple resided in Manitowoc. He preceded her in
death in 1959.
Mrs. Bruins attended Manitowoc schools. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran
Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Johansen Sr., and Mrs.
Donna Brey, of Manitowoc. Five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also
survive. Four brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home between 6 and 8 p.m. Sunday and Monday
until the time of service.
