RONALD "ROLLIE" BRULL

Ronald "Rollie" Brull, 69, a proud, 20-year-survivor of a kidney
transplant, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007 at his residence after
17 years of battling cancer. He was born April 1, 1937 in Manitowoc,
and was the son of the late Alfred and Florine Hamernik Brull.
He attended school in Manitowoc. On June 8, 1960, he married the
former Lois Gustavson. Prior to marriage he served in the U.S. Army,
spending two-and-a-half years in Germany. Rollie worked several
places as a machine specialist and also in construction. For about
15 years he worked as a driver and dispatcher for local cab
companies.
Rollie followed all sports, especially watching his favorite team
the Wisconsin Badgers. For the last 10 years he enjoyed playing golf.
He spent Friday mornings playing in the Gramps Daley two-man golf
league. Golfing didn't end in the fall because he also went golfing
indoors with Don, Mike, Jerry, Bill and Harry.
Rollie is survived by his loving wife, Lois, of 46 years; a son Randy, and "favorite daughter-in-law: Vicki Endries Brull, both of Greenville; two daughters and their husbands, Becky and Bruce Georgenson, Stevens Point, Kerry and Troy Schmitt, Appleton. Rollie leaves his seven grandchildren: Kylie Brull, studying at UW-Milwaukee; Tim Brull, studying at the University of Minnesota; Coree and Emily Georgenson, Stevens Point; Mackenzie, Same, and Owen Schmitt, Appleton. Other survivrs include his brothers, Tom Brull, Joe (Kim) Brull; sisters Audrey (Ken) Broehm, Clara (Jay) Geisler, all of Manitowoc, Barbara (Ben) Vasquez, Reedsville; sister-in-law, Gwenn Brull, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, John Bielowski;
brother, Don Brull; nephew, Rick Brull.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007 at
St. Francis of Assisi – Grand Avenue Site. The Rev. Dan Felton will
officiate the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call on
Wednesday, from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at church. In lieu of
flowers, memorials may be made to the University of Wisconsin Hospital
Cancer and Transplant Services in his name.
The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Manitowoc is assisting
the Brull family.
The family of Ronald Brull would like to thank all doctors and nurses
at UW-Hospital Madison, especially (private) at the Ear, Nose and
Throat Clinic. Ronald's family would encourage all who can, to
participate in the organ donor program. Because of this program,
Rollie was given another 20 years of life.
