LOUIS J. BRUNNER

Louis J. Brunner, 61, of Branch, died Monday morning at home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and
at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Leo
Schmidt will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Military graveside services will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mr. Brunner was born Dec. 18, 1908, at Manitowoc, son of the late Joseph and
Margaret Bagle Brunner. He married Marie Jeffery Aug. 2, 1952. He resided in
Manitowoc County most of his life. Mr. Brunner was post master at Branch and
also operated the general store there for 26 years. He was a veteran of World
War II, a member of the NAPUS and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Otto Oas Post
659. Mr. Brunner was also a member of the Manitowoc Historical Society.
Survivors include his wife; a step-son, Roger Brunner, of Branch; a step-
daughter, Mrs. Elmer Kelley, of Appleton; two brothers, David of Rt. 1,
Manitowoc, and William of Rt. 4, Manitowoc; four sisters, Mrs. Jane Kaufmann
and Mrs. Orvil Stephani of Manitowoc. Mrs. Arland Matthias of Rt. 4, Manitowoc,
and Mrs. Marie Welch of Rt. 2, Reedsville, and seven grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday where a memorial
service will be at 7 p.m.
