William A. Bryant, age 78, of 910 E. Cedar Ave., Manitowoc, died Friday,
January 23, 1998, at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held at 8 p.m. Monday, January 26, 1998 (TONIGHT) at
the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Rev. Richard Lind will officiate
with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Bill was born July 7, 1919, in Suffolk Va., son of the late Robert and Mary
Anderson Bryant. He married Norma S. Rudy in 1944, at First Lutheran Church,
Manitowoc. Norma preceded him in death on August 13, 1981. Bill served with
the United States Coast Guard for many years, retiring in 1945. He then worked
at Mirro Corp. for many years as an IBM consultant. He then moved to Milwaukee
and was employed by the Perfex Corp. until his retirement. Bill was very active
in many groups and organizations including: The Retired Enlisted Association,
Amvets Post #99, Dres-Bleser American Legion Post #88, Manitowoc Yacht Club,
Manitowoc Seniro Center, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 3709, Wisconsin
Maritime Museum, International Order of Odd Fellows, and scouting for many
years.
Survivors include seven children, Randall (Robin) Bryant, Manitowoc, Lenore
(Ronald) Jost Sr., Robert (Karen) Bryant, all of Cleveland, Wis., Rickie Jean
Beilfus, Grant (Paige) Bryant and Candice Bryant, all of West Allis, Kathryn
(Thomas) Rozanski, Walla Walla, Wash.; two brothers, Robert Bryant, Louis
(Louise) Bryant, all of Norfolk, Va.; two sisters, Virginia (John) Watson,
Norfolk, Va., Mary Ragsdale, Roanoke, Va.; 14 grandchildren; three great-
grandchildren; other relatives and many special friends including Donna Gesell.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his son, Patrick Bryant;
and a sister.
Friends may call at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Monday (TONIGHT) at 5 p.m.
