MRS. N. BUTLER DIES, HOSPITAL
Graduate Nurse, Age 32, Was Ill Only Few Days
Mrs. Nina Butler, 32, a graduate nurse who served at Holy Family hospital at
7:15 o’clock last night after a brief illness. She underwent an operation
Monday.
Mrs. Butler was born at Waupun Dec. 19, 1900. She resided in Manitowoc since
1904. She was a graduate of the local high school and the nursing school of
the Milwaukee county hospital. For several years she nursed at Whitelaw and
for several years she was a nurse in the isolation ward at Holy Family
hospital.
She also engaged in private nursing. She resided at 710 South 25th street.
She is survived by an eight-year-old son, Allen, her mother, Mrs. Hattie
Bruins, and three brothers, Dr. Andrew, William and Dick Bruins, all of this
city.
The body will lie in state at the Shimek and Schwartz funeral home after 7
o’clock tonight. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Saturday
at 2 p.m., with the Rev. C. H. Phipps in charge. Burial will be at Evergreen
cemetery.
