Word has been received in Manitowoc of the death in Chicago Monday of Mrs.
Marietta Cary, wife of the late William Cary, former Manitowoc resident.
Making her home with a sister, Mrs. Clarence Freeman in Gary, Ind., she was
stricken ill while visiting in Chicago.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at St. John Catholic Church,
Gary.
She was born Marietta Sherman and was married to William Cary, who located in
Chicago after leaving Manitowoc. They made their home in that city. Mr. Cary
died in 1948.
Surviving are an adopted son, Frank, a chief petty officer in the navy at Great
Lakes, Ill.; and two sisters, Mrs. Clarence Freeman of Gary and Mrs. Henry Kalm
of Houston, Tex.
The body will be brought to Manitowoc Wednesday afternoon, with burial in
Evergreen Cemetery.
