ELEANOR CHADA
Mrs. Joseph Chada, 77, of 920 N. 16th St., Manitowoc, died at the home Monday
morning after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral
Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Gervase Zanotti will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery.
The former Eleanor Neitz was born at Boldt, Wis., March 4, 1879, daughter of
the late Carland and Ernestine Kettle Neitz. She was married at Boldt June 15,
1898, and the couple lived there until 1921. They resided four years at Green
Bay before moving to Madison and then coming to Manitowoc where in 1945 the
late Joseph Chada, an educator, died in 1949.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Percy Lodtz of Crystal Lake, Ill., and
Mrs. Conrad A. Lewis of Madison; three sons, Orland of Boulder Junction, Wis.,
Harvey of Denton, Tex., and Melvin of Eau Claire; three grandchildren and a
great grandchild.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
